For the lovely and talented * GawainesAngel I present Taki from SoulCalibur.
I was undecided whether to draw her with or without her mask, but obviously decided on leaving it off.

The only previous SoulCalibur character I have drawn is Ivy, [link] which some of you may have already seen.. this one though is coloured using the Cel-Shading technique, which I've been thrashing quite a bit lately.

Oh man, I like this one a lot. :)

The ah . . .*ahem* "rearview" ;) is kind of a new one from you (at least as long as I've been watching you) but you pull it off quite well, in my opinion. I'm also impressed with how you went for a mid-range colour scheme, but didn't lose the red of her outfit in the reddish-ness of the background. I also like the details in her hair and the little squiggly bits in the clouds. :)

It's a great pic! One of my favourites of yours. :+fav: Well done!

It's simply brilliant! the anatomy done well, she looks very sweet (:omg: I love her butt ;)) still dangerous, as the true assasin has to :D
and I really enjoy how you did cel shading..
the only thing is lack of the second scabbard :D hehe

Glad the cel-shades came out ok, I could've gone either way with this one,...
:shrug: I stopped for a second and contemplated a second scabbard, but I guess I wasn't exactly sure where it attached to her, so I just left it off... I'm sure nobody else will even notice..

I'm sure there's plenty of butt-shots in my gallery.. I'll have to check. It's nothing new for me anyway. :shrug:
Not sure exactly what you mean by 'mid-range colour scheme'...

You're not supposed to be looking that closely at the clouds! - the BG is realy just to provide atmosphere, and is even more sketchy than usual.. but it's fun to let loose after shading so carefuly on the figure..

Spiffy! I like the background and how it looks all faded in comparison to the foreground. Did you make it in photoshop? Very nice, overall! Looking at this one again, I think I like both of them equally. Besides, in the game Im much better with Taki than I am with Ivy! XD
