Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome to the stage; the sensuous sorceress, the irresistible illusionist, the mistress of magic, the one and only; Zatanna!
-- I wanted to follow up my recent Lara Croft pic with something created using the same method, and after playing "Justice League Heroes" on PS2, I felt the time was right to do my first ever picture of the DC universe's sexiest magician. I tried to keep the shading subtle on this one, I wanted deep shadows and a velvety look to her costume. I spent a couple of frustrating hours trying to create an effective texture for her fishnet stockings, not wanting to simply make her legs a darker tone than her face, and I think I faked it pretty well. I was going to have some sparkly swirls of magic stars curling around her, but I wanted to stick to the one strong light-source (the spotlight) and didn't want to clutter up the image. Overall I think it turned out allright, if not as jaw-droppingly sexy as Lara.. Any suggestions on who I should draw next? |
