Description

Like everybody else, I went to see "The Dark Knight Rises" , and was thrilled by Anne Hathaway's performance as Catwoman.
And I was delighted to see that her costume included ridiculously impractical high-heeled boots (albeit with very practical heel-blades), something I like to see on all super-babes. I had only seen those images of Ms Hathaway's stunt double, and she had more sensible platforms, which I thought was how they'd look in the film. Of course. for this picture I cranked them up an inch or two to allow for longer, more lethal looking heel-blades. (I think they have a serated inner edge, but I opted to leave that detail out.
I also rendered her belt, but decided I prefered seeing her bare hips unhindered by useful utilities..
I planned to post a version without the mask, as I'd so pains-takingly rendered her face and wanted to show the whole thing (including her distinctive sexy eyebrows!) without the mask. I might post a blown up image of just her face in my scraps..
As large as this image is, it's only %50 actual size. I'd wanted to finish and upload it full-size so you could really see all the fine detail, but my computer couldn't handle it. :(
I put an emphasis on texture on this image. Her skin has that same "gooseflesh" technique I used on Black Widow, but it's so subtle it's barely noticable, and I tried to emulate the bumpy texture of her suit as well. Also, I spent some time giving her boots that leather/pleather look, which I think worked well.
Very time consuming, so I hope you all appreciate the effort! All up, this pic took maybe close to 20 hours to render? several days work, anyway.
Oh, and the Bat-pod.. I obviously used photo reference, but YOU try drawing that crazy-ass vehicle from memory!
I had intended the image to look more like a location-shot photo, but it looks very much like a studio shoot. But I'm okay with that.
Well, I'm glad this pic is finally finished. I know it's not perfect, but I think it does what I intended it to do.
I put %100 effort into this, as I'm quite keen on Anne Hathaway, and think she should definitely get a Catwoman spin-off movie! Start bombarding WB with petitions now!
I'll probably lay off the 'photo-real' stuff for a little while, but I would like to tackle other actress/superheroines in this style.. let me know if you have any good suggestions. I was considering; *Olivia Wilde as Quorra.
*Jessica Alba as Sue Storm.
*Famke Jannsen as Jean Grey or Anna Paquin as Rogue.
.... there hasnt been enough female super-heroes in the movies!
Bring on WonderWoman!

Turn her around and show the bare bottom, and this lady definitely deserves to be spanked.
